The Municipality, American Legion and the Independence Day Committee will discuss the possibility of having a parade on Labor Day. 2021 July 4th Parade Canceled We are sorry to bring the news to the community, but Monroeville Council and the July 4th Independence Day Committee have made the difficult decision to cancel the 4th of July Parade for 2021. After much thought and consideration in weighing the unknown restrictions for such a well-attended event, it was determined that it would be best to continue to postpone the parade until such a time that possible restrictions will not be necessary to keep our community safe. The July 4th Fireworks will go on as planned at the Monroeville Mall Annex on Sunday July 4th. Monroeville Senior Citizens Center Re-Opening on February 1st, 2021 The Monroeville Senior Citizens Center will re-open its doors starting next Monday February 1st. Opening the center remains an on-going evolving process. The center will be operating with restricted hours and services. You MUST be a MSC member to make a reservation for all on-site activities or virtual programs, unless noted otherwise. Everyone is welcome to participate in Curbside activities. Details can be found within the newsletter or on the MSC Facebook Page . Due to Covid 19 guidelines, we have to follow strict capacity guidelines which limits the number of on-site participants. At this time, we are only accepting current MSC members. On April 1st, we will begin accepting new members. New memberships are limited to Monroeville residents and non-residents that have Silver Sneakers until Covid 19 capacity restrictions have been removed by the State and County. Interested in joining? You must register before signing up for any of our programs. Registrations must be done in person through the MSC main office.
